Dr. Cuan Wayne Coetzee (Chiropractor)


Dr. Cuan Wayne Coetzee is a distinguished chiropractor specialising in family, pain and sports healthcare. He is the innovative mind behind MOVEMED, a leading wellness coaching platform designed to empower individuals and staff through movement and education.

Dr. Coetzee earned his Master’s degree in Chiropractic in 2013 from Durban University of Technology in South Africa. He ran a successful practice in East London, South Africa, for seven years before relocating to the East of London, United Kingdom, in 2019.

With a deep passion for family and public health, Dr. Coetzee founded MoveMed in 2013. This educational and health coaching platform focuses on pain management and movement longevity, helping individuals move pain-free for longer.

Dr. Coetzee's academic excellence was recognised early in his career. He was awarded the Chiropractic Association of South Africa’s Excellence Award for the top Master’s student (2013) and the Association’s Academic Merit Award for the top fifth-year student (2012). He completed his Master’s thesis on Triathlon Injuries.

As an educator, Dr. Coetzee has delivered lectures to medical doctors specialising in Sports Medicine at the University of Pretoria (2013).

Dr. Coetzee is also an accomplished athlete, having represented his country in four different disciplines from 2005 to 2015. Notably, as the chiropractor for Team England, he won a medal at the Indoor Cricket World Cup (2014).

In his book, WHY MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE, Dr. Coetzee shares his journey and insights into his vocation. The book quickly became an Amazon UK best-seller in 2020.
